Opportunities and Challenges of Women Entrepreneurs in Urban Set-Up: A Case Study in the City Of Bhubaneswar

Abstract
This study focuses on the women entrepreneurs who run small and medium business enterprises in the city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The objectives are to explore their socio-economic profile, to study the perception and attitude of the women entrepreneurs, to find whether they are getting proper motivation and support from the family, Government and financial institutions in participation in different activities, to identify the problems and challenges they face in running such enterprises and to solicit their opinion and suggestions. The intellectual area of the study emphasises on the broad vision of social and economic empowerment of women through engagement in different entrepreneurial activities.
