Opportunities to Analyse the Pollution in Metallurgical Industry
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2011, Vol 34, Issue 4
Abstract
The metallurgical industry is a highly polluting economic sector. In order to establish measures to minimise the pollution, new methods are needed to analyse such processes. This article analyses the following possibilities: − thermodynamic analysis; − analysis with system theory elements; − characterization of pollution as global phenomenon of soiling; − possibilities of maintaining a balance between the economic development and pollution.

Studies on the Heat Recovery from the Sinter Cooler, S.C. ArcelorMittal Galati
Heat recovery to the sinter plant is a means of improving the efficiency of the sintering process. The hot agglomerate must be cooled down. The heat recovered from the sinter cooler is used to preheat the combustion air...
The Influence of Both Functioning Time and the Service Temperature on the Mechanic Characteristics and Metallographic Structure of Some Steels
The paper determines the influence of both functioning time and the service temperature on mechanic characteristics of 12H1MF steel. In this purpose, the results of mechanical tests, performed at temperatures ranging fro...
Vibration Diagnosis Systems for a Cold Rolling Mill Machine
In this work is shown the importance to use a monitoring by vibration system for a cold rolling mill machine. The using of this monitoring vibration system reduce maintenance costs, minimize the impact on operation becau...
Behavior of Ni/Al2O3 Nanocomposite Thin Layers in Corroding Environment
This paper investigates the effects of adding alumina nanoparticles in the electrolyte bath on surface topomorphologies and structure of electrodeposited nickel. The influence on the corrosion process in NaCl solutions h...
Measures to Optimize Job Security "Crane Machinists to Transport Liquid Steel"
The starting point in optimizing the prevention of occupational accidents and occupational diseases for a crane machinist for the transport of liquid steel is the risk assessment of the system. Risk assessment involves t...
