Optical fiber Bragg grating coupler in visible light region

Abstract
High performance, low cost visible light coupler has been widely used in the fields of optical fiber laser, optical fiber sensor, avigation and so on. By using the reflectivity property of fiber bragg grating (FBG) and the coupling property of coupler, a novel visible light FBG coupler which is fabricated by using the INO-008 cladding mode suppression fiber is proposed. The selectivity of certain visible wavelength that reverses output in the certain port of the coupler can be achieved by optimizing the parameters of FBG and coupler, and the coupled wavelength can be changed flexibly by changing the period of the FBG. The experiment results show that the scheme is feasible.
