Optimization of Grinding Parameters in Austenitic Stainless Steel AISI 317l using Taguchi Method
Journal Title: International Journal of Mechanical and Production Engineering Research and Development (IJMPERD ) - Year 2018, Vol 8, Issue 2
Abstract
Grinding is an process for final completion of components to ensuring smooth surfaces and high tolerances. When comparing with other operations, grinding is, the costlier process that is used under optical conditions. AISI 317L material was surface finished under various input parameters. Since, it is more hardness and non- magnetic material. The main objective of the work is to study the grinding behavior and obtaining the optimal operating process parameters. It consists of several parameters such as chemical composition of work piece, depth of cut, wheel speed, feed rate, grain size, etc. The main objective of in grinding process is to minimize the surface roughness value, which is to be identified in this paper.
Design and Modeling Studies of Tube End Expansion using Response Surface Methodology
The production of various profiles on the ends of the tubes is referred as tube end forming process. In the present work, the elevated temperature forming studies have been performed. The thin walled tubes have been subj...
Investigation of Hot Corrosion Behaviour of Uncoated and WC-17co Coated Samples in Aggressive Molten Salt Environment
Hot corrosion is usually a significant issue in power plant’s boilers. The alloys and metals get corroded, once exposed to high temperature corrosion in air, or in actual boiler environment in power plants. In order to p...
The Performance Evaluation and Emission Study of Compression Ignition Engine Operating with Blends of Animal Fat and Palm Oil Based Biodiesels
Depletion of origin and anguish of health issues due to emissions by petroleum discharge triggered to take necessary steps to avoid adverse effects on forthcoming generation. In view of this tremendous work is being done...
An Analysis of the Effect of Elimination of Six Big Losses on Increasing Profitability in Steel Rolling Mill Companies
