Abstract

In the maxillofacial region, congenital cleft lip and palate is one of the most common malformations. In terms of the severity of anatomical and functional disorders, this disease is one of the most significant maxillofacial malformations. One hundred infants with congenital cleft lip and palate who were undergoing various stages of surgical treatment had peripheral blood drawn by the SamGMU Department of Cleft Lip and Palate in Samarkand. While the second clinical group experienced a 70% increase in IL-17 levels, the third clinical group only experienced a 25% increase. Children aged 7–12 years who were diagnosed with VRGH experienced a decrease that was more than twofold. Consequently, the cytokine profile studies in children of varying ages with CRPS have allowed us to infer that the manifestations of secondary immune deficiency in this congenital disease are highly specific and are primarily determined by the type of surgical rehabilitation performed at various stages, in addition to age characteristics. The increased severity of postoperative complications in children with congenital cleft lip and/or palate from regions with petrochemical industries is indicative of impaired reparative regeneration following uranoplasty. This is likely due to the presence of somatic diseases and abnormalities in blood parameters during the preoperative stage.
