Orbital Fractures - An Overview

Abstract
Of the various maxillofacial fractures, orbital fractures involve one of the most complex anatomy resulting in a variety of both esthetic and functional disturbances, often associated with other complex fractures. The opinion on the management of such fractures, especially when involving soft tissue, is in itself varied and controversial. We aim to provide an overview of the various types of orbital fractures, their diagnosis, the anatomical and surgical factors involved, and the reconstructive options available for the management of orbital trauma.
