ORGANIZATION OF STUDENTS’ SELF-STUDY IN THE PROCESS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE STUDING WITH USE OF INTERNET-RESOURCES

Abstract
In the structure of the new curriculum the number of classes is reduced the volume and number of hours for self-study and is increased. Students’ self-study is the primary means of mastering the training material at the time free from mandatory training objectives. In this regard, there is a need to restructure the entire educational process and the search for new forms and methods of self-study. Since the organization students’ self-study in foreign languages is aimed to perform different kinds of tasks with communicative focus, its success is determined by correct selection of differentiated tasks, the systematic control of the teacher for their implementation, as well as providing timely assistance in resolving the difficulties which arise during the work. The question of students’ self-study organization using the internet resources aiming to improve foreign language competence of students is considered. Critical thinking development, students’ analytical abilities, group and independent work skills are accentuated. The model of students’ English language self-study organization using the Internet technologies is presented. Effectiveness of the model was proved by the experiment. Organization of students’ self-study in higher education provides orientation on active methods of knowledge mastery and the development of students’ creative abilities, the transition to individualized and student-centered teaching with taking into account individual needs and abilities. The effectiveness of students’ self-study in foreign languages is directly dependent on the quality of its organization. Organization of students’ self-study in foreign languages through the use of Internet resources creates optimal conditions for the formation and development of the intercultural communicative competence of students because of great communication practice of the studying language.
