Organization of the sheep production system

Abstract
The paper deals with the results of long-term research in the field of evolutionary selection of sheep in the conditions of Kherson steppe. Methods for selection of individuals best adapted to accepted technological production systems of sheep production have been developed. This makes it possible to increase the reproductive characteristics of sheep under production conditions. The study substantiates the necessity of the distribution of animals in herds into classes according to their dimensional characteristics based on of the adaptability index.
