ORIGINS AND CONSEQUENCES OF DIVISIVE TRENDS IN THE FRANCISCAN ORDER IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE XIII-TH CENTURY

Abstract
The article investigates the doctrinal principles, organizational structure and social nature of beguines religious communities in Languedoc in the first half of XIV-th century. Particular attention is paid to teaching dogmatic principles Petrus Johannis Olivi, which was the ideological basis of the spirituals opposition movement among the Franciscan Order. A key aspect of the study is the fight between spirituals and the Roman Curia.
