ОСОБЛИВОСТІ ПОЛІТИКИ ФРАНЦІЇ ЩОДО ВРЕГУЛЮВАННЯ РОСІЙСЬКО-УКРАЇНСЬКОГО КОНФЛІКТУ

Abstract
Розглянуто бачення варіантів розв’язання конфлікту на Сході України, які у значній мірі залежать від активної політико-дипломатичної підтримки нашої держави найвпливовішими державами світу, зокрема Францією. З’ясовано передумови формування та особливості політики Франції щодо російсько-українського конфлікту, а також вироблено рекомендації, реалізація котрих сприятиме активізації французькоукраїнського міждержавного діалогу. Several versions of the settlement of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine are considered in the article. The solution, to a large degree, depends upon the active political and diplomatic support of Ukraine by world powers, in particular, by Germany and France. The objective of this article is to clarify the formation of prerequisites and specific features of French policy concerning the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and to elaborate recommendations, implementation of which will contribute to the promotion of French-Ukrainian intergovernmental dialogue. It is asserted that, in spite of strategic partnership of Ukraine and the Republic of France, the position of the Russian Federation as the successor of the USSR has a significant influence on the cooperation of France with the former Soviet states. France integration priorities are analysed too. It is emphasized that despite the fact that the French express their support to Ukraine, they are not ardent supporters of its Euro-Atlantic prospects. The factors of special importance in the formulation of foreign policy priorities of France (the historical component of the French-Russian relations, financial factors, electoral moods of the French, etc.) are pointed out. It is evident that the policy of France with respect to the settlement of the RussianUkrainian conflict, in any case, will be determined by the general impression which Ukraine produces, its values, culture, and economic opportunities. It is determined that the priority for Kyiv is to intensify its “soft” presence in France (through culture, economy, sports, etc.), which may be the subject of further research.
