Ovarian renin-angiotensin system

Abstract
The aim of the paper is to present the latest theories on ovary renin angiotensin system. The following issues are discussed: the role of renin and prorenin in the function of ovarian follicles, the role of rennin in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome, role of angiotensin II in the processes leading to ovulation, immunohistochemical localization of renin and aniotensis II in ovaries, the role of angiotensin II in modulating steroidogenesis in granulose and theca.
