Oxidation Removal Experiment of As2O3 in Flue Gas

Abstract

Taking Fenton reagent as the absorbents, the removal of As2O3 in flue gas by Fenton oxidation reaction was studied in the self-designed bubbling reactor. The effects of reaction temperature and simulative flue gas composition on the removal efficiency of As2O3 were investigated. The experimental results show that when the concentration of H2O2 is 0. 2 mol/L, the dosage of Fe2+ is 5 mmol/L, the pH value of Fenton absorbent is 5. 5, and the reaction temperature is 50 ℃, the removal efficiency of As2O3 reaches 100%. The SO2 and NO mass concentration, O2 and CO2 mass fraction in simulative flue gas have significant influence on the As2O3 removal efficiency. Meanwhile, the qualitative and quantitative detection of related ions in solution were conducted by high-performance liquid chromatography-hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectrometer ( HPLC-HGAFS) . The As ( V) is the main product of As2O3 removal.
