Abstract

Intellectual property in the modern economy is of fundamental importance, especially in decision-making. Appearing on the market, new products are the result of continuous innovation and usually contain objects of intellectual property protection. Such innovation and entrepreneurship in business is a feature of small and medium-sized enterprises, which often create a lot of important solutions without knowing the rules of eligibility for protection, impact protection and the benefits of an effective system of protection. In this article presents the principles of intellectual property protection in a comprehensive manner, both in the area of industrial property rights and copyright and related rights. In particular, inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, geographical indications, appellations of origin, topography of integrated circuits, as well as the results of literary and scientific activities.
