PARLIAMENTARY CONTROL AS BASIC FACTOR OF EXISTENCE OF THE SYSTEM “INHIBITIONS AND COUNTERBALANCES”

Abstract
This article is devoted to the study of the origin of the concept of separation of powers, its development in Ukraine and Europe, and also analyzed the influence of parliamentary control on the effectiveness of the “checks and balances” princi-ple in Ukraine compared to the experience of the French and Czech republics. Within the framework of the above material, the shortcomings of the practical implementation of the principle of “checks and balances” in the Ukrainian parliament are analyzed and ways of their improvement are suggested, based on the experience of European countries.
