Participation in the network-digital culture in Ukraine: comparative dynamics

Abstract

The paper is devoted to consideration of the present state and dynamics of Ukraine attraction to the global Internet-space and formation of network-digital culture. The author compares results of international statistical and sociological research of involvement in the Internet of population of the world countries, reconfiguration of the Internet-space with the entering of developing countries, as well as in connection with the extension and popularity of mobile internet. The author also shows the increase of regularity/intensity of using the Internet in the country and all over the world, the increase of quantity of electron devices in everyday disposal, habitualization of on-line practices that is marked, in particular, on digitalization and network systematization of culture participation. New technologies make possible and stimulate the network activity of users, whose practices transform current media-space, favor formation of the network-digital culture “from below”.
