Journal Title: The journal of international civilization studies - Year 2023, Vol 8, Issue 1

Abstract

Healthcare is considered an important service area that should be carried out without public dissatisfaction. The satisfaction of the population with the quality of medical care indicates the effectiveness of the activities of medical organizations and government agencies. The purpose of the study was to find out the difference between the expectations and perceptions of the quality of services provided by patients applying to family medicine centers. The service consists of establishing the degree of satisfaction with quality. The study was conducted in family medicine centers located in 4 districts of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. To collect information from patients applying to these medical centers, a survey form was created in accordance with the most common SERVQUAL method in the service sector. The SERVQUAL method consists of 5 factors: tangibles, reliability, responsiviness, assurance, and empathy. A total of 380 people took part in the survey. The received data were developed using the statistical program SPSS 22. The results revealed a big difference between the ideal state and the current state of the quality of service in family medicine centers. It is known that family medicine centers cannot fully meet the expectations of patients with respect to all the indicators indicated in the survey form. It was found that patients are not satisfied, especially with regard to material values.
