Peculiarities of contemporary political discourse (based on the material of Oleg Lyashko’s public speeches)

Abstract
The article is devoted to the description of the linguistic features of contemporary political discourse on the material of O. Lyashko’s public speeches. The lexical, phraseological, morphological, syntactic means by which the politician has created his own strategies for influencing the consciousness and the Ukrainians political preferences: “identification”, “theatricality”, “humiliation of political opponents”, “raising political status”, “inflating fear, panic in society” are investigated.
