Peculiarities of development of language skills in the conditions of bilinguism

Abstract
The article reviews the issues of improving the teaching of Russian as a foreign language to the students of the Azerbaijani universities. It underlines the necessity to consider the general education in the secondary school, preliminary knowledge of the language, the nature of the assimilation of linguistic materials of other languages, meaning the ability to language. It is necessary to take into account the general cultural background, for which the study materials are involved in various disciplines, such as geography, history, visual arts, literature, etc. It is also necessary to take into account the specialty of the student, because it leaves its imprint on the style of thinking, memory, will and emotional-imaginative world of perception of reality.
