Peculiarities of Melodic Contour of the Military Speech: Gender Aspect

Abstract

The article highlights the findings of the experimental phonetic research of the melody contour of the speeches of high-ranking female officers of the US Armed Forces in comparison with the speeches of their male-colleagues. It is stated that the melody functioning depends on gender of a speaker.
