PECULIARITIES OF SELECTION OF EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL FOR TEACHING GIST AND ABSTRACT TRANSLATION

Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of selection of educational material for teaching gist and abstract translation of scientific and technical texts. The article defines the main principles and criteria for selecting scientific articles. Each of the principles and criteria is analyzed in the context of the training of translation. The main results of the study are based on an analysis of the scientific work of researchers on the topic. The criteria for selection can be used to develop sets of exercises and assignments to form the competence of future translators in gist and abstract types of translation.
