PECULIARITIES OF TEACHING THE TOPIC: «THEORETICAL CONCEPTIONS OF CIVIL SOCIETY: HISTORY AND MODERNITY» IN THE DISCIPLINE «HISTORY OF POLITICAL AND LEGAL DOCTRINES»

Abstract

Involvement of society solves the government decisions it is an important of modern conditions of Ukraine as a state, that took of the main goal of integration into European political, economic and cultural space and the construction of democracy. The subject of this article is the phenomenon of civil society in the context of its historical development. The purpose of this article is to identify and analyze the main stages of development of the idea of civil society. Modern conceptions of civil society are the result of a long evolution in the history of socio&philosophical and political thought of various approaches to the study of this phenomenon. The author is analysing the genesis of the idea of civil society from ancient times to the present. It is political and legal ideas of ancient Greece and Rome made up the roots of the concept and the idea of civil society. In the future notionalists of each times, based in its reality, they developed the conception of the idea of civil society. Since the late of twentieth century, there is a new interpretation of this concept, many different definitions of this phenomenon were there, the specific aspect was emphasized. The accent of modern research is transferred to the analysis of the structure of civil society, its institutions, the relationship with democratization. We want to note that modern Ukraine in addition to a wide scientific research during the years of independence made some steps towards the development and strengthening of civil society, at the f irst, the government policy is aimed at implementing an effective mechanism of interaction of its institutions with the bodies of Executive power and bodies of local self&government on the principles of partnership and mutual accountability, to create favorable conditions to ensure and protect the rights and freedoms of men and citizen.
