PEDAGOGICAL CULTURE OF FUTURE EDUCATORS AS THE PRECONDITION FOR BRINGING UP CHILDREN OF PRESCOOL AGE TO POSSESS MORAL SENSES

Abstract

Development of education and culture within modern fast-moving society and cultural conditions of life demands that preschool educators should be professionally trained as pedagogues as well as creative personalities. While reforming education there arises the necessity to use pedagogical ideas, oriented at strengthening the constructive and culture- identifying role of preschool educators. The purpose of the article is to reveal the essence of pedagogical culture as professionally significant quality of educa- tors dealing with children under school age in process of bringing them up to be morally aware. The article deals with one of the main aspects comprising the topical problem of the modern higher education - the de- velopment of pedagogical culture of future preschool educators. Its expediency is grounded. The author analyses such basic notions as ”culture”, ”pedagogical culture”, ”moral senses”. The phenomenon of culture is interpreted both as a measure and as a synthetic characteristic of human’s spiritual, moral and professional development. This notion is also considered as a defining factor of human’s needs and behaviour, which is adopted through social institutions. The concept ”pedagogical culture” is characterised as a dynamical formation consisting of these components: knowledge, skills, values, activity. The antipode of the notion “pedagogical culture” is “absence of pedagogical culture”. The article discloses the correlation between basic and pedagogical culture, between generations of children and grown-ups regarding comprehen- sion of fundamental bases specifying existence in a social medium. The idea that the correct harmonic development of feelings is the basis of child’s development as a personality is high- lighted in the article. The author proves that humanity, sensitiveness and kindness of adults facilitate a more successful solution of pedagogical assignments targeted for children of preschool age. The expediency of virtues is considered in the article: charity, compassion, sensitiveness as professionally significant qualities of the future preschool educators; their corresponding social norms are characterised as socio-cultural resources. The article contains a short review of work forms facilitating the solution of pedagogical assignments aimed at bringing up future educators’ pedagogical culture. Conclusions and perspective of future investigation. The abovementioned confirms that education renovation is to be directed to overcoming the dissolution of its social functions; a significant factor enabling comprehension of sociocultural reality, students’ successful and resultative en- trance to educational space is rise in basic and pedagogical culture of preschool educators the mastering of which is real- ized by means of corresponding activities; the orientation of higher school students towards constant rise in the designated level presupposes the improvement of effectiveness in the process of bringing up preschool children to be morally aware. The perspective of future investigation we see in elaboration of the systematic steps to form the professional culture of students of teachers’ training universities.
