PERCEPTION of UNIVERSITY IN KARABUK : THE CASE of KARABUK UNIVERSITY

Abstract
Karabuk University has led to significant changes in economic, social and cultural aspects in Karabuk from2007 to 2012. The study has been focused on the interaction of “university-society” and “university-community” relations. The main aim of university andcity interaction is that identifying physical formsand social areas in the city. The main point of the University and community interaction is to determine the perception of the university as an institution in the society. The neighborhoods of Safranbolu and Centre of Karabük has been exampled as the universe of research. The sample zone is limited with following neighborhoods100. Yıl, 5000 Evler, Atatürk, Emek, Yeni Şehir, Yeni Mahalle, Kayabaşı, Bostanbükü, 200 Evler. The study is the first initiation of doing as a research in Karabuk that‟s why it is an important contribution for literature.
