ПЕРШИЙ МОЛИТОВНИК УКРАЇНСЬКОЮ МОВОЮ В НАДДНІПРЯНСЬКІЙ УКРАЇНІ

Abstract
The first prayer book in the ukrainian language in upper dnieper ukraine. The article illustrates the history of the origin of the first Ukrainian prayer book in Upper Dnieper Ukraine in 1917, creator and translator of which was a priest A. Herashenko. The textual and linguistic analysis of this publication allowed to make a conclusion that prayer book was performed according to the translational principles formed by Synodal Commission headed by the bishop Parfeniy Levytsky. It was the Commission which during 1905–1911 years published Ukrainian Four Gospels based on the translation of Gospel by P. Morachevsky. These translation principles formed once by P. Zhutetsky focused translators in their translation process on fulfillment of the rules of the target language (Ukrainian) with a quite limited and stylistically caused use of lexical units and forms of the source language (Church Slavic).
