PERSPECTIVES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF BASIC COMPETENCES IN NATURAL SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGIES OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE PROCESS OF STUDYING THE COURSE "BIOLOGY AND ECOLOGY"

Abstract
The article presents a model of research competence structure and some methodological approaches to its formation during studying the course “Biology and Ecology” by senior pupils. The proposed model reflects the stages of forming senior pupils’ research competence in the process of studying biology and ecology. It consists of interconnected components that have a certain content amount and work on the final result – the formation of a holistic system of senior pupils’ research competencies. One of the leading methodological approaches is the implementation of the project method.
