Pharmacoeconomic Analysis of Prolonged Insulin Analogues Usage in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus under the Conditions of Ukrainian Pharmaceutical Market

Abstract
The paper is dedicated to the insulin therapy of diabetes mellitus. There was performed a comparative clinical and economic estimation of insulin analogues (Lantus® and Levemir®). Due to it insulin glargine was found to have significant economic benefits versus insulin detemir under the conditions of Ukrainian pharmaceutical market. These results are confirmed by the data of studies conducted in other countries.
