PHRASEOLOGICAL UNIT AS A MEANS OF NATIONAL MENTAL CHARACTER CREATION (BASED ON R. ROLLAND’S NOVEL «COLAS BREUGNON»)

Abstract
The article describes the phraseological units as a means of national mental character creation of the protagonist of Rolland’s novel «Colas Breugnon». The classification of the phraseological units is described: phraseological fusion, phraseological unity, phraseological combinations and phraseological expressions. It is determined that they are inexhaustible linguistic sources that give depth, lexical and syntactic sophistication and perfection to the work of art.
