Physics of Lilliput and Space Research on Neuroscience
Journal Title: Journal of Neurological Sciences-Turkish - Year 2007, Vol 24, Issue 2
Abstract
While studying Physics of Lilliput and square-cube law of Galileo in college years I learned suprisingly that wihtin the present technology our scaling arguments are important. The translation of man from terrestrial to an extra-terrestrial environment is accompanied by an upset in the servo-control of movement originated by the removal of the normal gravitational signal. NASA's space research areas, especially on neuroscience, are important too in these aspect. All these research areas may demonstrate the brain's ability to scale up to design itself perfectly – as an unique organ- in an extra-terrestrial envoirement.

Lacunar Infarction Associated With Intracranial Venous Hypertension
Lacunar infarcts constitute a subtype of stroke with a diameter of less than 15 mm manifested by the presence of lacunar syndromes. The ischemic lesion in lacunar infarcts may often be caused by occlusion of a single, sm...
The Evaluation of Blink Reflex Responses and Recovery Curves in Patients With Blepharospasm
Objective: We aimed to study that the change in blink reflex excitability is related to their clinical presentations in patients with blepharospasm. Material and Methods: In this study, the data on 39 blepharospasm case...
Porphyria with predominantly involvement of bilateral facial nerves
Porphyria is an uncommon disease caused by the deficient activity of a heme biosynthetic enzyme, which presents clinically with neurological and psychiatric symptoms. To our knowledge, this is the first report describing...
