Piperazine - Cu (II) Macrocyclic Schiff base Complex: Synthesis, Spectral studies

Abstract
Molecular architecture containing heterocyclic piperazine system has some biological properties. In this regard, piperazine have occupied an important place in drug industry; in particular 1,4-bis(3-aminopropyl)piperazine derivatives have been used widely. Cu (II) - macrocyclic Schiff base complex has been prepared via Cu (II) templated [1+2] cyclocondensation of aldehyde with the symmetrical 1,4-bis(3- aminopropyl)piperazine. The complex has been characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV, NMR and Biological activities of the new compound are also evaluated.
