Plastic blasting and deflashing media in shot blasting treatment

Abstract
These article presents modern plastic blasting media. Discussed media are divided into two groups. First of them comprises eight blasting plastic media with irregular particles produced by grinding and size classification of specific plastic parts. Another group are thermoplastic deflashing media with regular particles formed in shape of cubes, cylinders and spheres. Basic parameters and main applications of these media were discussed. Polycarbonate media for cryogenic deflashing of rubber and elastomer parts was described as a separate group.
