Plastic properties of cold-deformed ironbased sintered materials
Journal Title: Archiwum Odlewnictwa - Year 2010, Vol 10, Issue 3
Abstract
Cold plastic forming of sintered metal powders has limited practical application because of, among others, the deformation degree and initial porosity of preforms. Cold forming is combined with a very drastic drop of plastic properties observed in final products. One of the methods that enable regaining the lost plasticity is annealing of sinters after deformation at temperatures above the recrystallisation point. The results of the investigations were presented which aimed at the determination of an effect that the annealing conditions of colddeformed sintered metal powder can have on its structure and mechanical properties. Special attention was drawn to a combined effect of the deformation degree and heat treatment temperature on final plastic properties of the sinters and on their ultimate tensile strength.

The influence of amperage of electric arc on microhardness in the area single and overlapping remeltings of HS 6-5-2 steel
The present thesis depicts the microhardness of HV0,065 surface layer of high speed steel HS6-5-2 remelted with the electric arc. There were different surface layer variants of remelting used – the amperage was changed f...
Computer aided process of dimensional distortion determination of bounded plaster sandmix
A computer program allowing calculation of dimensional changes of mould made of silica-gypsum composition in process of its heat treatment and preparation for molten metal casting is presented in this paper. The composit...
An attempt of assessing the production perspectives concerning malleable iron castings
The paper presents a historical outline of production of the malleable cast iron castings on the territory of Poland during the past over a hundred years. There have been also gathered data concerning the total quantity...
Life cycle assessment as a method of limitation of a negative environment impact of castings
Casting production constitutes environmental problems going far beyond the foundry plant area. Applying a notion of the life cycle the input (suppliers side) and output factors (clients side) can be identified. The found...
