POCZĄTKI SFORMALIZOWANEJ ŻEGLUGI PAROWEJ W CESARSTWIE ROSYJSKIM I KRÓLESTWIE POLSKIM

Abstract
Celem artykułu jest analiza powstania formalnej żeglugi parowej na rzekach Cesarstwa Rosyjskiego i Królestwa Polskiego. W odniesieniu do Rosji ukazano przepisy transportowe z lipca 1843 roku oraz przywileje dla żeglugi parowej w Petersburgu z czerwca 1843 roku, a także dla Wołgi i Kamy z lutego 1844 roku. Opisując natomiast sytuację w Królestwie Polskim, przedstawiono umowę z września 1846 roku dotyczącą żeglugi parowej na Wiśle i innych rzekach spławnych wraz z jej odnowieniem w 1856 roku oraz wiele kwestii związanych z praktycznym funkcjonowaniem tej formy transportu.
