POLICIES AND CURRICULUM IN THE VISUAL ARTS DEGREE: to share research from the Teacher Education Observatory within the scope of Art Teaching (OFPEA / BRARG)

Abstract
The study intends to analyze the educational public policies that interfere in the Teaching of Arts at school. It’s also used the research developed by the network project Observatory of Teacher Education in the field of Arts Teaching, mainly those carried out in the Postgraduate Program in Visual Arts at PPGAV / UDESC to identify broader aspects that reach the education of art teachers nationwide. In the same way, it seeks to make a comparison between the implications of educational policies in teacher education in arts in education degrees and the respective developments in the Teaching of Arts at school. It considers the models of teacher education designed in recent times and implemented in education degrees in visual arts. Finally, it presents reflections based on historical-critical pedagogy with the intention of giving visibility to the contradictions present in the Teaching of Arts, from the specificities of the visual arts at school as well as in the professional teacher education in education degrees.
