Abstract
The goals of the policies and programmes are the well-being of elder persons. The present article focus on the various policy, programmes and legislations for the elders in India to live the last phase of their life with purpose, dignity and peace. It aims to strengthen and support for financial security, health care, welfare and quality of life. This article helps to known about the central and state government policies and programmes for the welfare of the elderly population in India.
