POLISH MEDIEVAL HISTORICAL MYTHS AND THEIR ROLE IN THE POLITICAL LIFE OF THE POLISH STATE IN ХTH – ХVІІTH CENTURY

Abstract
An attempt to analyze the features of appearance in Хth century of historical myths about the origin of the ruling Polish Pyasts dynasty and using them for consolidation of the Polish State is done in the article, and also reasons of refusing from an existed myth in ХІVth century are examined, and its replacement by a myth about sarmatism. The separate plots of the article examine the role of sarmatism in forming of the Polish state case in frame of ХVІth – ХVІІth century and its influence on forming Ukrainians historical myths.
