Political vs. Economic System in Metaphorical Narrative

Abstract
The paper is focused on those relationships between the political and the economic system that are defined through the effectiveness of democracy as a procedure of politica (policy and politics) performing regulatory functions vis-à-vis economy, and the effectiveness of capitalism as a procedure for economic activity, viz. production, distribution, consumption, and service provision. Within the discourse, it is often alleged that democracy compromises economy and that, on the other hand, capitalism tends to interfere with politica. However, opponents of democracy have as yet been unable to propose a political system that would be better suited to capitalism and make a point of avoiding the word authoritarianism. At the same time, adversaries of capitalism cannot identify an economic system that would be fully attuned to democracy.
