Abstract
Problematyka, jaką stanowią obostrzenia dotyczące emisji dwutlenku węgla wypracowane przez państwa Unii Europejskiej, skłania do refleksji na temat przyszłości odnawialnych źródeł energii w Europie. W artykule podjęto próbę syntetycznego przedstawienia polityki oraz kierunków rozwoju alternatywnych źródeł energii w Polsce oraz Europie w latach 1997-2016.
