ПОЛУЧЕНИЕ ПОРОШКОВ СИЛИЦИДОВ ЖЕЛЕЗА ИЗ ШЛАКОВ МЕТАЛЛУРГИЧЕСКИХ ЗАВОДОВ АРМЕНИИ

Abstract

The goal of the investigation is to develop a technology for the production of iron-silicon alloys of various compositions in the high-temperature synthesis mode by means of joint aluminothermic reduction of a previously mechanochemically activated charge. The importance and urgency of the work presented is to obtain valuable iron silicides from secondary raw materials using advanced and efficient technology - mechanochemistry and SHS metallurgy. As a cheap raw material for the production of various silicides, the converter slag of the Alaverdi Copper Smelting Plant with an iron content of 37.8 % on the one hand and, the molybdenum slags of the Yerevan Pure Iron Plant containing 36.83 % silicon on the other hand are used. The study was carried out at the following mass concentrations of molybdenum and converter slags: 0.5: 1; 1: 1; 3: 1; 3.5: 1; 4: 1 and 5: 1. It was shown that the increase in the amount of silicon and aluminum simultaneously with the reduction of the iron amount by changing the ratio of converter and molybdenum slags, the amount of reducing agent, CaO and NaNO3 in the charge leads not only to a decrease in the strength and deterioration of the silicide structure, but also to a deterioration in their quality. In all cases, a good result is the ratio of converter and molybdenum slags = 3: 1 or more, in which the resulting silicides have a finely dispersed structure, are strong and homogeneous with a high yield of the alloy. Optimal conditions of the HS were chosen to ensure the maximum yield of different silicides.
