Polyfunctionality of the muse image in A. Akhmatova’s poetry

Abstract

The article investigates the functioning of the image of the Muse in A. Akhmatova’s poetry and shows Akhmatova’s Muse in different periods of creativity is characterized by dynamics, diversity and variety ‒ ostensibly different of the nine Muse-Sisters act in this role.
