Abstract
The article reveals concepts and essence of constitutional-legal restrictions on rights and freedoms of man and citizen. On the basis of a partial analysis of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and legislation attempts to justify the legal terms "limitation," "taboos", etc., as well as the problem of restriction of human and civil rights and freedoms.
