PORTABLE PYROELECTIC POWER METER OF LASER RADIATION

Abstract

A construction, principle of operation and basic parameters of portable pyroelectric measuring device of average power of continuous and impulsively-periodic laser radiation in the range from 2 mW to 2 W are described. A measuring device consists of the receiving head, located in a metallic housing, and block of indication, located in a plastic housing. The receiving head contains an electromechanical modulator, pyroelectic sensor of radiation and preliminary amplifier. Sensitive element made of lithium tantalate with absorptive coating provides nonselectivity of device in the spectral range of 0.25-12 μm.
