PORTRAIT OF MIGRANT IN THE RUNET

Abstract
The article offers a discourse analysis of the Runet topical segment, connected with the issue of migration in the Russian Federation. To research this problem we attempted a search of the word “migrant” in the search engine Yandex and interpreted the results along the following lines: types and quantity ratio of the documents on the Internet with the lexeme “migrant”, mapping of geography of migration on the Internet, agencies and organisations dealing with the problems of migration, topics of the documents dealing with the problems of migration. By using micro-analysis, the linguistic context of the word “migrant” was investigated, which enabled us to find out the prevailing connotations of this word as a part of its usage on the Internet.
