Possibilities for Development of Social Skills of Children from Social Risk Families by Art Activities at Children Day Care Centres

Abstract

The investigate was done on 2012 m. in “X” children day care centers in order to find out the skills there are developed. It was carried out the quantitative study using the form. 15 social workers and 83 children participated in the survey questionnaires. Social risk family is the consequence of parents negative behavior, which does not ensure the safety and development of children, children can not express their feelings and needs. Children in such families do not have adequate social skills. Empirical study showed that art activities organized in children day care centers have a positive impact on children's social skills, it helps meet the knowledge, education, freedom of expression and ingenuity needs. Children of social risk families realizes their potential, careful tasks, develop their creativity, evolve, learn new art techniques during art classes.
