Possibilities of Middle School Age Children Entrepreneurship Development in the Family

Journal Title: Jaunųjų mokslininkų darbai - Year 2011, Vol 30, Issue 1

Abstract

The study showed that schoolchildren have a model of daily activity and behaviour pattern – their working parents. Schoolchildren, in contrast to parents, evaluate their families’ income more as unstable. Small daily pocketmoney gives them the opportunity to have their own income and incur expenses. The beginning of giving pocket-money by parents is connected with starting school. In the family parents assign household chores to children in order to develop their responsibility, perception of which is very important for forming a sense of duty. It is the family that paves the way to value orientations relating to responsibility, duty, respect, and material security.
