Possibilities of rational utilization of medium-size timber

Abstract
Insufficient supply of timber for wood industry enterprises and its high price encourage looking for solutions related to optimizing production and improving efficiency of raw material utilization. Ever more often enterprises seek new ways of utilizing raw material, which up till now has been classified according to the criteria of quality and dimension as medium-size timber. The aim of this article is to draw attention to the utilization of a less valuable medium-size timber, its more rational usage as well as indicating possibilities of improving the efficiency of its conversion.
