POTENTIAL OF RESVERATROL PRODUCTION WITH BIOTRANSFORMATION BY YEAST USAGE
Journal Title: International Journal of Bio-Technology and Research (IJBTR) - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 1
Abstract
Resveratrol, a phytoalexin, excreted naturally by several plants such as grape, Japanese knotweed and peanut. Also, many of them contain some kinds of glycosides such as piceid which shows less bioactivity. β-Glucosidase is an enzyme that hydrolyzes β-glycosidic bonds between the reducing side of glucose and an aryl, alkyl aglycone or oligosaccharide. Therefore, β-glucosidase could be used for deglycosylation of piceid into resveratrol for a commercial application. In this research, hydrolysis of piceid in Polygonumcuspidatum to resveratrol by a patented microorganism Dekkerabruxellensis (BCRC 920084), secreting β-glucosidase was investigated. In addition, β-glucosidase for enhancing biotransformation efficiency was multiple used within whole cells under condition of liquid suspension. Then, a series of enlarging experiments were followed by 50-mL, 3-L and 10-L operation volume and the conversion rate was average 92.55 ± 9.66% after 5 times reused efficiency.

SACCHARIFICATION OF ALKALINE TREATED RICE STRAW BY SUBSEQUENTLY HYDROLYSIS OF XYLANOLYTIC-CELLULOLYTIC ENZYMES FOR XYLOOLIGOSACCHARIDES AND GLUCOSE PRODUCTION
Rice straw (RS) is a biomass found abundantly in Thailand as a waste product from rice grain collections. This study aimed to produce xylooligosaccharides and glucose from RS. The xylan saccharification of aqueous ammoni...
Minimum Torque Change Model Vs. Power Law for Elliptic Movements
This study compared between the minimum torque change model and the power law model, for human elliptic movements. In simulations, trajectories based on the two models were computed, at different movement velocities and...
Development of Synbiotic Whey Drink
A study was undertaken to prepare synbiotic whey drink using probiotics and honey as prebiotic. The optimum acidity of 0.45 to 0.51 per cent lactic acid was reached by Bifidobacterium longum culture in 4hr of incubation....
