Potential of Ukrainian banking institutions in stimulating economic growth in post-conflict period

Abstract
This article is devoted to the studying the potential of Ukrainian banking institutions in stimulating economic growth in the post-conflict period. The purpose of the study is to determine the problems of the financial potential building of the state on the basis of the development of the banking system and provide a proposal for their solution. The dynamics of key indicators (assets, equity, loans) for the development of the Ukrainian banking system in 2007–2016, the quality of credit information and protection of credit operations and the coverage of economic agents by credit registries in Ukraine, Poland and Belarus in 2012–2017 are assessed and compared. The critical analysis of papers on this subject made it possible to determine the main problems of the banking activity in the post-conflict period as well as provide the recommendations for building the financial potential of the state on the basis of the banking system development. The definition of the main tools of influence of the banking system on the financial potential of the state is not left without attention.
