PRACTICAL TRAINING OF FUTURE TEACHERS IN THE SYSTEM OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN GERMANY

Journal Title: Молодь і ринок - Year 2018, Vol 157, Issue 2

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the peculiarities of practical professional training of pedagogical personnel in the system of higher education in Germany. Due to the German federalism and the extensive powers of the federal lands in the field of the organization of education, including pedagogical education, which cause significant differences in the content and organization of the professional training of future teachers in different regions of the country, the article focuses on the specifics of the practical training of teachers in one of the federal states, in particular in Rhineland-Palatinate. As a result of the research it is established that since 2008 in the institutions of pedagogical education of this federal land innovative forms of professional training of pedagogical personnel have been actively realized and the so-called dual model of pedagogical education, which is directed towards a tight integration of all its aspects and stages, has been implemented. The analysis showed a significant expansion of the practical component within the dual model of pedagogical education and the realization of a number of new forms of practical training of teachers, which give the opportunity to gain practical experience in further professional activities. Due to the balance of the theoretical and practical components of the professional training of future teachers, the dual model of pedagogical education provides a continuous, systematic, cumulative process of acquiring of professional knowledge, skills, experience, and serves as a reference point for modernization of teacher training in other federal states. Therefore, as a result of the development and implementation of new models and concepts, the system of professional training of future teachers in Germany acquires greater structural clarity, organizational integrity and practical orientation, thus providing the necessary conditions for the successful mastering of the profession of the teacher.
