PRACTICE OF USING "PKP" TYPE DEVICES FOR DETERMINING THE QUALITY OF ROCK DUSTING IN COAL MINES

Abstract

For more than 15 years, coal-based enterprises have used PKP devices. During this time, almost one and a half thousand instruments of this type were released and an enormous experience of operating these devices was accumulated, making it possible to declare their significant contribution to improving the safety of mining operations. But the evolution of "PKP" does not stand still. Devices have become more ergonomic by increasing the time of continuous work, improving the ease of operation and maintenance through the use of modern components and well-thought-out design solutions. And now, three generations of PKP are serving in the mine workings, helping to maintain them in proper condition through the operational quality control of the rock dusting, avoiding a decrease in the ash content of coal dust below safe values. This article describes: ossification, as a type of anti-dusting, characteristics, composition, use and storage of instruments of the type "control panel". Using the PKP-3 device as an example, the metrological characteristics, main faults and maintenance rules are considered.
