Prawicowy ekstremizm w Niemczech i w Polsce

Abstract
The article is an attempt to analyze the right-wing extremism in Germany and Poland. The author investigates the roots of this phenomenon found particularly in anti-communist, anti-Semitic and nationalist sentiments. In Poland, the author notes the disordering role of the Roman-Catholic Church in supporting and promoting these trends. The author sets up 8 research thesis: 1. In Poland, after 1989, a Pandora-box was opened with aggressive nationalism. 2. The extremist right-wing parties recovered the possibility of legal activity. 3. The contemporary Polish political system closely resembles the one from before 1939; the contemporary PiS party suits the pre-war ‘Endecja’ and the PO Party the pre-war ‘Sanacja’. 4. The restoration of the fundamental role of the Roman Catholic Church in the social and political life. 5. Poland becomes a religious state. 6. The activity and impunity of extreme right movement poses a dangerous issue for the entire Polish future. 7. Anti-communism became an official ideology of a Polish state. 8. A consciousness of a Nazi-past is reaching the majority of Germans. Nationalistic and anti-Semitic character of pre-war Poland has not been uprooted in the consciousness of Poles.
